UGANDA MUSLIM WOMEN VISION was founded by the Elite Muslim Women in 1992. This was mainly done to handle pertinent issues affecting Girls, Ladies and Women in Uganda. They were inspired by a vision of transforming the lives of the vulnerable Women of Uganda into a self-sustaining and personal development mode. This was also hopped to give them (Vulnerable) a brighter tomorrow. The key stake holders of the organization tried to help the vulnerable at their convenience till when they sought out for better ways of giving help to the vulnerable as an organization.
To become a body endowed with information and plans that direct and educate Muslim Women to effectively play their roles and contribute to the development Uganda at large.
UMWV shall seek to be a resourceful organisation that mobilizes and sensitizes Muslim Women to participate in programmes aimed at building their families through improved access to information, exposure, training, and promotion of morality.
We support the widows financially by providing them with economic support and hands on skills making them self-sufficient.
We do support Children with schools fees, treatement and holiday care, Quran Memorization, scholastic materials, holiday package.
We do various projects for the persons with disabilities. These projects include hands on skills, startup capital, food, clothing, water and treatment.
